HP Pavilion dv6-2158nr HDMI audio output

Here's the deal, the HDMI audio output quit working on my computer. I did a system restore to a previous point and got it to start working again. I watched a movie on my TV and everything was working fine. I go to bed, get up the next morning to get online and discover that the HDMI audio output is not working again, all audio is coming out of the computer speakers even though the HDMI cable is connected. I go to the sound mixer to see if the settings have changed and found that the computer has reset itself back to the computer speaker mode again. I click on the button to set it back to HDMI output and find that it is no longer listed as an option. I do another system restore and find that it still doesn't offer it as an option anymore. Can anyone help get this fixed?
