I have a dv7-4170us, but I am not sure if this is common for all dv7's or just dv7-4170us or just my specific one. Got it a few days ago and read a comment on amazon about how when you are watching say a youtube video in full screen or playing a video game that takes up the whole screen, when you adjust the volume or click the mute button, the video will return to normal size or the game will be minimized and then I have to make the video full screen again or have to click on the game in my taskbar to get to full size again.
I was hoping this was not going to happen to me too. So one of the first thigns I did when I got this laptop, I opened a youtube video and switched to fullscreen and increased the volume, and boom, it closed the fullscreen.
Same happened when I tried out video game.
I contacted HP online support, and I downloaded the tone utlity driver (not sure if that is exactly what is called) and a BIOS driver, to no avail.
So, I am hoping that the HP community can tell me whether this is something that all the dv7-4170us models do and if anyone has found a solution. Because it is starting to get annoying.
Thanks.
