I just got a new laptop, Pavilion dv7. One of my little quirks is, how can I silence the right and left click on the touchpad? When I am working in a quiet area it is a bit annoying hearing the click....click....click, HELP! Thanks

Thanks for the advice, unfortunately neither worked. I guess I might add that it is an Windows 7 operating system.

I have just got the same laptop and find the clicking noise very annoying, and if you go anywhere such as a library it will be frowned on. I must admit because it is so noisy in the shop it is not noticable. I have just turned off the noise for all the functions, to find this so annoying.

Sounds like a great idea, I unfortunately tried everyway that I could find and still couldn't figure out how to silence it. Suggestions of steps to do this would be great, thanks.

I agree that this is most annoying. There must be a way to turn it off. I have Probook 4730s. Synaptics touch pad. Can anyone help?
