Hp pavilion dv2000 sound device doesnt appear in device manager [ Edited ]

I have a strange problem in my hp pavilion dv2000

i had windows 7 for some reason i downgraded to xp..

i installed all drivers including sound.. but its something strange i have sound when i restart it goes or sometime even i close the computer and reopen after some time still no sound ... when i have sound i can see conexant hd audio 221 .. when i dont have the sound i cannot see conexant hd audio 221 how do i fix this .. 

i hope you got my problem ..   

Edit:  my sound cards id is : HdAudModel,HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_14F1&DEV_5051&SUBSYS_103C30D6&REV_1000

solved.. in conexant hd audio driver file i opened th .ini file change the id with my own id uninstall conexant restart the computer then force install the ini file.. and it fixed my problem

I just installed Windows 7 in my old HP Pavilion dv2000. Everythung is fine except for no microphone response.

I contacted HP Service and received a driver but it doesn't work as well.

I need the builtin microphone as I use Skype for voice communication.

If somebody can help me I will appreciate it very much.

Hello,

Did you manage to fix the mic issue with your Pavilion DV2000? I have the same computer with Windows 7, and my mic volume is way too low. HP recognizes this problem (on the link bellow), but offer solution only to Windows VISTA.

That HP document says to go to Windows Update and then follow the instructions on how to change the driver, but this info is not there.  Please help!!!!!!!!!!
