Huge sound problems with all HP IDT codecs, why is this so hard to fix?

My audio stutters while gaming, streaming video, etc.

 

 

HP Pavilion dv7-4078ca Entertainment Notebook PC

 

Windows 7 Home Premium

 

I have read various fixes and answers but i am unsure as to which applies to my computer.

 

Which is the correct path of action for me to take to solve this problem?
Why do so many computers suffer the same problems with IDT codecs?
Why does HP continue to release computers that don't work properly?
Why should any of us here continue to buy HP?
