I'm only getting sound from one side.

The sound on my HP Pavilion g7 series notebook became scratchy on the right side about 2 days ago. No one has dropped it or hit it. It is taken care of very well. Then today it just stopped altogether on the right side. I get sound fine out of the left side, but nothing from the right. Please help!!!
