IDT PC Audio software no longer shows the Equaliser settings

I have a Compaq Presario CQ61-407SA Notebook PC with Windows 7 Home premium (64-bit)

Originally the IDT PC Audio showed the sound output graphically with an Equaliser with slides and presets which could be changed - great.  I only found it by accident as it doesn't appear on the 'All programs' list.  I found it by searching for IDT and there is a control panel too.  The file which is run is C:\Windows\System32\idt64mp1.exe.  I have version 1.0.6225.0.  However it now doesn't work - see image below.

The volume and mute still work.  I've reinstalled the IDT driver successfully from HP's site but the problem still exists.

I'm completely at a loss as how I can proceed.  I have all the latest Windows update changes installed.

I'm not sure when it stopped working.  The iTunes equaliser works, but that only affects iTunes output (I think).

If anyone has any suggestions I would be very grateful.

It's amazing, for no reason which is obvious to me, it's working again.    I wonder if I had reloaded after re-installing the audio drivers??    I've definitely reloaded today after installing new itunes (how many are there?) and Windows update.

So, I'm relatively happy again.  If only I could get a working Perl Magick and scanner I would be ecstatic.  These both worked on my XP system!!!!

When I said reload, i meant restart.  OOPS!  Brain fade again!  Why isn't there an embarassed smiley??

Hmmm, It's all my own misunderstanding.  When my audio goes through a USB speaker (I now have two - ones's wireless, and one clips onto the top of my laptop screen) then you get no EQ with graphics!  What a shame, I would like to enhance the bass response when I'm on my portable USB speakers.
