My HP G60-635DX Laptop is getting a short continuous beeps on startup

Hi, I need some help. My HP G60-635DX Laptop is giving me short continuous beep on startup. The computer continues booting only after i press any key and the beeping stops. When the computer gets to the desktop, the mouse jumps around. When I click on My Computer, it opens something totally different. Also, when it is booting, the hard drive LED on the front is blinking in tune with the beeps. I encounted this problem after I encrypted the drive D and decrypted it again on the same day. I am using windows 7 ultimate.
