Hi,
Anybody have the pin connections used on the headset jack on the Mini 210? I'd like to plug some external audio into this jack and need to know if the mic input is the tip or ring of the 3.5 mm jack.
Thanks.

The Mini 210 comes with integrated mic, which is place next to Webcam...So you will not need a mic...but if you would like to use a headphone-mic combo set, you will need a connect as shown below... which can be bought on E-bay there is the link

Thanks. Do you happen to know what the actual pin use is? I want to connect the output of a radio to the microphone input. Hmm, maybe I can figure that out. Stereo headphone work properly so tip and ring and barrel must be left, right and ground and the second ring is probably the mic input. Does that make sense? It would sure be nice to find documentation on this stuff.
Thanks.

Thanks Comptronic. That is perfect. And stereo input is just what I need for a software defined receiver to work. Now to find a 4-way 3.5 mm plug in the next couple of days before I leave on my trip.
Cheers.

Ray, the unified Audio jack bands on the Minis are configured like in the below Right Hand side image...

Cyclops,
As I have reported to HP and also here on this forum, that diagram that you have copied and pasted here is WRONG!
As designated in your picture, Terminal 1 is the Mic Input and Terminal 5 is the common Ground.
I realise that you are not representing HP here but you really need to get this through to your employer somehow.
Edit:
Comptronic, The Audio Pin out in the manual is also WRONG. It describes TWO separate plugs for Mic/ Earphone. The Mini 210 has a SINGLE 4-Pole Combo Jack
