My operating system is Windows 7, and I have an HP Pavilion dm4. I update the computer and the next time I turn it on I have no sound. And is says this here when I check the device:
"Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)"
My software is called IDT High Definition Audio Codec, came with the laptop

HI, I have a Pavillion zx5000 and it has been quite some time that I have not been able to get the sound off the speakers on the notebook, I have sounds only when I plug in the headsets...any ideas on how to solve this problem?
And I have a problem with playing CDs and DVDs, it does not play them, it gives me a message to install the right driver...I went to HP and they send me to otherl inks where I need to pay to download the driver...I have used the Driver Recovery Cd and the Application Recovery CD that came with the notebook, did not work.
Thanks,
Dan

@ GripFury - Looks like an incorrect driver issue...Reinstall the Audio Driver from the link and check ....

same issue with a G60-235DX I have downloaded the correct driver and still no modem and no audio device seen. I do have HDMI and havent tried it yet but no audio output device and no modem makes me wonder why. I had a hard drive failure and replaced it and after installing the OS they were not to be seen. Any help you can offer is essential to me even keeping this painin the butt....

Hello ramozsexy,
I see that you are having problems with the sound on your computer. I would like to help with this issue but I need some information.
Can you provide the model and product number of the computer? Here is a link that shows how to find that information.
How long have you been having the problem?
