No Audio output device installed DV2815nr

Im gona go crazy but before II do I want to ask if someone can help me.

 

I did complete system restore with HP recovery software.

 

 initially all was fine but at some point sound icon in taskbar kept getting red (x) on it sometimes. At one point it showed permanently the red-(x) symbol and Audio device not available.

 

 

I spent 3 days putting system up to date and I have no audio.

 

what I've done:

 

  1. services: windows Audio is on Auto and started
  2. tried reinstalling conexant driver from system restore
  3. tried installing Conexant driver downloaded from HP site - ERROR could not found device to install driver for
  4. Windows fully updated.
  5. Installed latest BIOS F28
  6. Installed HP help support software, ran it , says I don't need any updates.

 

Can someone help me?
