No Sound Driver dv5140ca

Ok, I know this has come up plenty of times, but, yea, I got NO sound. I've been waiting weeks for a driver to come out and still nothing. My Laptop is dv5140ca. I don't know the sound card because I forgot the name, but if you just go to support and drivers and type in dv5140ca there, you should be able to find out what it is. Can anyone tell me when I can at least expect a sound driver? I've been told a week, but that keeps going on and on. Also, can you tell me if it'll pop up under Windows Update? Or will I have to go online and hope to see a "Windows 7" link there for me to click and download the driver there?

Finally, the last thing I ask for, is, is there any other sound driver I can download for sound? Because I've heard of other users with no sound problems on Windows 7 (mine is 64-bit), and they just downloaded the sound driver from the Vista drivers (either 32 or 64-bit depending on their comps) and it worked... so would that work temporarily?
