No audio after Bios update

Please someone help me out . i just got this laptop HP Pavilion dm4 Notebook PC

Product No. QJ449EA#ABV

Bios Configuration  F.14

I installed ne updates from HP Support assistant (New Bios) and there is no audio now !!

I tried restoring previous Bios and still not working !!!

Please help me out with this ...

Hi all, thanks for posting your full model or Product number, it really helps us to know which exact notebook you have

This is probably going to sound to simple to try but I saw another thread (yes the models were different) they went into the BIOS via "f10" and set the defaults.

I believe 3 people replied that it had worked for them, so I say give it a whirl.

Now you guys have done some good troubleshooting with rolling back the BIOS.

If this does not work you might want to consider calling into support and having them assist.
If you already did I apologize but I didn't see it in the thread.

I had the same problem with my dm4 after upgrading to BIOS version 14.  The same problem repeated itself after going to version 15.  After the BIOS upgrade each time the computer restarted itself, and the sound was gone.  I completely shut down the computer and then restarted it and the sound was back, both times.  After upgrading to BIOS 14 I registered a comment at the software download site that this minor issue should be mentioned but HP didn't take my suggestion.
