No sound when using DisplayPort to HDMI cable

I have an Elitebook 8560p and a DisplayPort to HDMI cable. (This one: http://www.amazon.ca/High-Quality-Black-DisplayPort-Cable/dp/B002CSRF9M/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=13293...)I'm trying to connect my Elitebook to my Phillips TV. I get fantastic video from the cable, but I cant get any sound. Whenever i connect the cable to my computer, I get a "HDMI to DVI Notification" that pretty much says I need to have a seperate audio connection to hear sound. (Will provide screen caps if requested). Upon further research, I found that apparently my cable doesnt have whats called an "HDMI ID ROM", (http://www.displayport.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/DP-Audio-User-Guide-v1.pdf) but I'm not sure how accurate that is, considering that the reviews on amazon say that they've got audio from the cable and the details on the cable secify that it provides 8 channels of audio. My guess is that i'm missing some sort of secret driver or something, but i believe all my drivers are up to date (Willing to install any drivers if requested). Help me out guys!
