Try updating the BIOS of your computers.
I work for HP.
Click on the BLUE KUDOS button on the left to say "Thanks".
Mark answer with 'Accept as Solution', if it solves your problem.

I updated the BIOS but it didn’t solve the problem, other thing that I saw it’s that when the error that I described happens the IDT audio panel is recognizing the headphones as a mic.
Best regards.

Just a doubt. There are two version of drivers available, 32 bit and 64 bit. Have you installed the correct version of driver? Also, does your headphone set include a MIC, If yes, then please connect both the Ausio and MIC cable to the respective jacks and see if the issue persists.

I have a pair of questions, it seem that the problem originates from de IDT audio software so, Is there any way to use other software for audio?, and is there a way to totally deactivate the external mic so the IDT at least stop recognizing headphones as a mic?.
Thanks in advance.

I have a DM1 notebook and having the same problems as described above.
Only single audio jack and IDT control panel seems to have problems dealing with this so that it switches between mic and headphone input at random and so sound will come out of speakers or headphones at random, or sometimes both. The control panel
Have updated drivers, bios ... and seems to have made it worse. Was initially only doing it sometimes and now doing it all the time
