Hello, yes, I have purchased a HP Elitebook 8440p notebook through my school. I believe it to be the base model. It uses Windows 7 Professional. My computer was wiped through the school before purchased and I literally have not installed anything other than iTunes and Chrome. There are no error messages.
Now for the problem. My computer has been making clicking sounds and then beeps. They are intermittent, but quite frequent. The sounds themselves are coming from the computer, but I do not believe from the speakers because I have had headphones in, with audio coming through, but the beeping comes from the computer. I don't understand what is happening. I have updated drivers and BIOS and restarted and shut down and left it alone, but to no avail.
Also, my computer is beeping at this moment, which is extra lulsy because my audio is on mute.
Anyone know what the problem is? I appreciate any help, comments (even trolls if they're witty or funny), or ideas.
