What exact types of tape should be used and where can I get these (I am new to the states and don't know).

There seems to be a bazillion of types and sizes which are all but confusing for me :smileyhappy:

Hey just commenting to say that my laptop (pavilion dv8) does the same, well, **bleep** as yours did, and my last resort is to reconnect the wire as you said... are all laptop hardware the same, should I just be able to look up a pic on google and have it show me correctly where the wire is, or a youtube video that tells me how to reconnect it, I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to computes
