Hi,
I have a problem with my sound. After not playing music or do anything that uses sound for a length of time, it's like the sound device cease to function.
I tried to play a song again after the above situation but no sound from both headphone or built-in speakers. I tried both plugged in and plugged out headphones, but still no sound.
I tried to look at the Device Manager, no problem. I tried reinstall the sound driver. Still the same situation.
The only way I can get the sound back is by:
1. restarting ( even logging off and logging in back does not do the trick)
2. Play songs continously on low level.
This really become a tad bit annoying, as I just bought it six days ago. and since the both the place I bought it and the headquarters of HP is a state away. I can only go there once a month due to transportation incapabilities.
So, anyone got some ideas? I'm listening.
by the way, mine is HP Compaq Presario CQ40-504AU Notebook PC
