Sound randomly goes out

Hi, new to the forums but having a problem.  I have an hp dv7 1245 dx and the sound randomly goes out when watching videos.

The only way to get the sound back is to restart the pc.

Im running windows 7 and would like to know a solution to this because its very irratating.

Mine has done the same, but it has now gone COMPLETELY out! (My headphone jacks still work though.) I have a dv4-1465dx c2d, & I just upgraded to Windows 7. Please, can you guys fix this?  Or is this our fault for getting Windows 7 on the "dv" series?
