while using webcam to talk to my aunt, she can only see me but I can see and hear her....no sound on her end. Her speakers work for other sounds like internet games and stuff like that. We both have HP laptops with built-in webcams. I have used my webcam with other people and the sound works just fine telling me that the problem is on her end. Please help!!!

Hi Shellee,
Here are a couple of things your aunt can check...
You didn't say what kind of service you are using to talk to your Aunt with the Webcam, though. so I am guessing. If your service is different, the idea will be the same - just look for the same "sort of thing" under her service, there is usually an "Options" setting and they work pretty much the same way for all sorts of programs and services...
You didn't say what Operating System you are using. This information is for Windows 7. Vista works about the same way. XP... not so much, but you may find your way through it.
On her notebook, your Aunt can make sure her Sound is set up to come through her main notebook speakers.
Bring up the Sound Menu:
Taskbar > Right-Click on Sound Icon > Playback Devices > Playback >
Assure "Speakers and Headphones" are "SET DEFAULT" (Green Checked)
If the notebook speakers are not already marked with a green "CHECK" mark, ask your Aunt to Left-Click on "speakers and headphones" to highlight the selection. Click "Set Default"
Second Check:
On this same menu spot..
Right-Click on "Speakers and Headphones" > Check list that comes up
(If your Aunt sees "Disable" in the llist, then Speakers are "enabled" and ready to be used - this is Good.)
Click OK (and done here)
==================================================
If using Skype, Latest Version (April 2012)
Skype > Tools > Options > Audio Settings > Speakers > Drop-down menu
Have your Aunt make sure that "Speakers and Headphones" is selected, just like on the Sound icon in her regular sound settings. There may be more than one setting in that Speakers drop-down menu, have her click on it and check it. You may have to hold up a sign or send her this post... Smiling.
I do not know if this is what you are looking for... it may help you find out where to start looking and figure out where to poke at it so you can fix it with her.
Good Luck!

Hi Shellee,
You are welcome!
If your Aunt still has an issue with her Sound ...
OR if you have Webcam questions later...
Here is the Official Web Doc on "What to do IF..."
Connecting and Testing Webcam in Windows 7
(For anyone not using Win7, there are links to Vista and XP in the doc.)
Good Luck!
