I recently formatted my HpG60 120 us and it now plays sounds so distorted that it irritates the hell out of me, however If i use headphones it plays ok whenever I'm listening the sound but once the headphones are removed, the sound is so terrible. What can be the problem, Is it drivers or hardware problem? HELP!!!!

Hi
You have a couple of options as I see it please try these steps might help you to resolve your issue.
Go to device manager and uninstall the driver and restart and unit will install the driver automatically.
Try doing System restore to the date when the unit was working fine.
Try to update the driver from hp.com website.
Last step is to run a recovery on the unit before this please back up your data.
If still does not work speaker on the unit has gone bad needs to be replaced.
If your notebook is still under warranty, contact HP and arrange to have the speaker replaced.
Let us know how it goes!
