yeah lad the product number is B6W52EA#ABU and the model number is 6-1006ae

Hi,

The Beats interface is installed as part of the IDT audio package and the Windows 7 version usually installs Ok, however there don't seem to be any Audio downloads for your notebook at all.

Try downloading and installing the IDT driver on the following link.

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp57501-58000/sp57966.exe

If the installation completes successfully, restart the notebook and check.

hey there i tried that and it took out my touchpad on the laptop and the mouse couldnt be seen. so i reinstalled windows 8 and i have it back to normal now but due to my on stupidy i was trying to enter safe mode and i seemed to knock it off again and in device manager its on about the pci device not installed and i cant seem to find the right driver.

Hi,

Go into Device Manager, right click on the problem device and select Properties.  Click the Details tab, choose Hardware Ids from the dropdown box and post back with the details shown under Value.

device status:

the drivers for this device are not installed. (code 28)

and thats for the PCI Device and if i insert an external mouse it works for me

do you have the Synaptics ClickPad V8.1 ? and for you to get Beats aduio software to put up do this 

ok so i found the actual software on the control panel. the driver needs to be updated it so i can open with the beats button again. but here is the steps to open manually on windows 8.

1. Go to control panel (hold Windows button + E so you can open computer folder and then hover the mouse over the computer tap and you will see open control panel on the right)
2. then click on hardware and sounds
3. beats audio control panel should be the last one on the list

this should work on every windows 8 

and you will need the lates IDT Sound driver for you computer for you to get that you will need to go here.
