dv3-2222tx no audio via hdmi

I have a HP Dv3-2222tx, and when I conn. HDMI cabel to TV, the sound dosent work,I have select  in my sound HDMI out, and also in the IDT Audio control, I can see on the indicator that there is sound, but cant hear it. I tested cable already, and also TV.

Have HDMI imput selected on your TV.

set audio to speakers/ headphone on laptop before connecting the hdmi cable to tv.

Once that is done--> plug in the hdmi cable between the laptop and the TV.

We cant change any thing on the tv ,because we are in a hotel, but we triede to conn. a ps3,and there the sound worked, and then we tried to conn. the laptop, and no sound, then again the ps3, sound ok. But laptop still no sound

No the menus are locked.

But anyway, I updatede my Nvidia, and then it worked.

I was having the same problem. I was keep re-installing the audio driver, and it does not work. But, once I re-install the video card driver, it just solve the problem!!
