loaded windows 7 on hp pavilion dv9843cl entertainment notebook pc now audio won't work

Windows 7 64 bit

Real Tek Audio

 

I have tried every drive I can find.  i have also tried the microsoft fixes and Microsoft HD audio driver.

 

Disconnected quick launch buttons and still no sound. 

 

No sound out either of the headphone jack either.  Volume is on and nothing is muted or disabled.

Device manager shows no errors.

The following image is from Windows 7

type sound in the Search Programs and files box and select the sound icon to invoke the Sound window. If driver is installed you should be able to set speakers as default by selecting it and clicking on the set default button.

Click on configure to test the settings. If no joy, check Properties to ensure that mute is not selected.

Saying that you have checked something is not the same as "that is not what I see" or vice versa. Are you realy looking for help?
