Every now and then I'll accedently press FN, then the "b" key while playing a video game. This causes the computer to inturrupt the game by showing the desktop with the "Beats" logo. Therefore, I would like to remove the "FN+B" shortcut that Beats audio uses. Of course, I do not want to get rid of Beats Audio or remove the function key's functionality alltoghter.
I have an HP dv7t Quad Ed with Windows 7.

Has anyone out there found any information on this?
I've had my HP laptop for almost two full months and am still trying to figure this out! Is it possible to disable the fn+B feature? Not even the Beats Audio Control Panel displays information on this.

If you want to stop the fn+B working, then do this:
Go to Start, then Run (search for it if need be)
Go to Startup tab
Find "HP Quick Launch" and untick it.
This will require a restart to work.
If you want to turn it back on, you can simply RUN the command below, or follow the above steps and tick it again (requires restart):
C:\Program Files (x86)\Hewlett-Packard\HP Quick Launch\HPMSGSVC.exe
I have an Envy 14 Beats Edition, and this works without failure!

I tried your method, and while it did disable the beats audio shorcut it also disabled many other shortcuts like f2 and f3 to change brightness. Do you know a way to disable only the beats audio shortcut while keeping the rest of them active?

Go to Explorer
If you have 64 Bit Windows 7, Move, rename or delete the following file:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Hewlett-Packard\HP Quick Launch\x64\Beats64.exe
If you have a 32 Bit Windows Version, Move rename or delete the following file:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Hewlett-Packard\HP Quick Launch\Beats32.exe
This removes all functionality from the poorly placed Beats shortcut.
