@touchworks

Hi,

Run Skype. In menu choose Tools -> Options -> General -> Audio Settings and check is there set Conexant audio card for Microphone. (I've got other audio card so that is why you see SoundMax on below example).

If everything is ok there then try both Vista audio drivers for your specific model. You may find them here.

When you will successfully install any audio driver please test your sound quality, mic and headphones. Choose this driver which gives you the best results.

  • When normal installation will fail, then try to run this unsuccessfully installed file in Vista Compatibility Mode.

  • When they will install correctly, but mic will still not work then try to install this files in Vista Sevice Pack 2 Compatibility Mode.
  • Remember to uninstall old driver first before installing other one.

@fritoa

Hi,

Try Cyberlink YouCam here (ver 2.0.3115  for 32/64 bit Win7).

Hello,

I've a PC notebook dv6-7280sp HP ENVY with Product number: C1Y21EA#AB9, Serial number:  [Personal Information Removed], windo 8 64.

And have the a problem with the microphone.

When i try to record a sound with windows soud recorder, i can't hear my voice! Using skype, it's the same.

During the several tests i've done something that i can't understand happens:

- if I hit the table where the laptop stands i can hear the noise or, if i speak near the bottom of the laptop i can hear my voice although that seems far.

Does this laptop have a speacker in the bottom? Is it possible that this speaker is beeing used like a microphone?

Tests already performed:

- Reinstalation of drivers

- Check of configuration like described in this forum

- Used a external microphone (and it works perfectly)

Thanks in advance
