Re: DV6333ea Conexant Audio HD driver problem

Please a clear post, some details would good.

From what I can recalled, the sound work but the mic does not work, I'm guessing external mic port is not working.

You have tried other OS but none of them are working.

This statement the ONLY drivers make working the speakphones (only them) are "hd smart audio 221" is a bit odd,

If you wish me to help you please provide the link of that "hd smart audio 221"

I'll try to compare it with sp34204, Usually it work as in my dv9000

Re: DV6333ea Conexant Audio HD driver problem

Well, I checked the link, its sp37816, links to HP ftp site.

That driver is for Vista not XP, however it includes your HardwareID

[Devices]
VEN_14F1&DEV_5051&SUBSYS_103C30CD="Conexant HD-Audio SmartAudio 221"
VEN_14F1&DEV_5045&SUBSYS_103C30CD="Conexant High Definition Audio Venice fx"

Yours is:

HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_14F1&DEV_5045&SUBSYS_103C30BB&

REV_1001\4&D5F8BB4&0&0001

I'll try to mod a driver for your model but please provide the following info:

1. using sp37816, the sound came out from the speaker but do internal mic and external ports (mic and headphone) working? how about  mute button? does it change?

2. using sp34204.exe, the sound do not come out but do internal mic and external ports (mic and headphone) working?

About volume OSD (On Screen Display), some models work with default volume OSD provided by Quick Launch Button software, while many others need to install additional software.

If you wish for volume OSD install 3RVX, QuickTouch equivalent, (download 3RVX_2.5.msi) freeware from Matthew Malensek

Please remember to uninstall audio driver from add/remove programs in control panel followed by reboot before installing a new driver.

Re: DV6333ea Conexant Audio HD driver problem

....uhm...

using sp37816 internal mic and headphones working, but phones are unbalanced (right volume is louder than left)

using sp34204= same as sp37816..

with 3RVX, the MUTE button works, but volume bar don't change the volume because, in mixer, if i move VOLUME control it don't changes, if i move WAVE bar the volume changes!  and with 3RVX is changing the volume (obviously =) )

Re: DV6333ea Conexant Audio HD driver problem

The unbalanced headphones is normal, if it is the same than it is a problem.

3RVX is only OSD volume software nothing to do with MUTE buttons.

Try setting it to make it work.

I beliave sp37816 works very well with your model no additional mod is needed.
