HP Recommended

I have to tinker with my Envy 15 ALL THE FRICKIN TIME. Just to get it to work as it should. All the software on this thing seems to have clashes and bugs and HP are USELESS. My latest issue is the volume control starts to turn itself up and down completely on it's own!!! Like a ghost is controlling it!! No idea where I'm going to start with this one but I won't be calling HP about it, I'd rather pull my own wisdom teeth out. Their customer service and tech support sucks. Save yourself the bother and buy a Mac next time.

Hi, after 6 months of this issue, the only thing that worked for me was uninstalling 'IDT audio' that was for some reason installed on the laptop.

This has restored the audio to completely normal behavior.
