Re: Hp pavilion dv2000 sound device doesnt appear in device manager

Hi Friends,

I just installed Windows 7 in my old HP Pavilion dv2000. Everythung is fine except for no microphone response.

I contacted HP Service and received a driver but it doesn't work as well.

I need the builtin microphone as I use Skype for voice communication.

If somebody can help me I will appreciate it very much.

Hi Friends,

I just installed Windows 7 in my old HP Pavilion dv2000. Everything is fine except for no microphone response.

I contacted HP Service and received a driver but it doesn't work as well.

I need the bullet-in microphone as I use Skype for voice communication.

If somebody can help me I will appreciate it very much.

Re: Hp pavilion dv2000 sound device doesnt appear in device manager

Hello,

Did you manage to fix the mic issue with your Pavilion DV2000? I have the same computer with Windows 7, and my mic volume is way too low. HP recognizes this problem (on the link bellow), but offer solution only to Windows VISTA.

Notebook MIC Volume Is Too Low To Be Heard When Using Instant Messengers/Internet Phone Calls

Have you found any solution for it?

That HP document says to go to Windows Update and then follow the instructions on how to change the driver, but this info is not there.  Please help!!!!!!!!!!
