After messing around with stock drivers as aforementioned I do miss the subwoofers that my laptop offers on speaker mode. I reset them to the Beats drivers again but I would still like to disable Beats audio for the most part, which I think these commands should do.

Thing is, I'm not experienced in doing any of that in windows so I was hoping someone could show me where to change those values in the registry?

Thanks in advance

PS: It seems like I have 'realtek' drivers, which should do the same but they are named differently. Is that going to be a problem when trying this out?

Edit: I have found the APO under SRS (start 'run' in windows and then type regedit) but i cannot find 'gfx' or 'lfx' anywhere. Also no luck in the Realtek folder. Any tips?

I, too, need to know how to fix this for the Realtek drivers. I had used a different registry-based fix, but unfortunately while it worked for my headphones for a little while it doesn't seem to work at all for my speakers. It's disorienting and disgusting having this stupid, forced volume leveling and even completely uninstalling the HP version of the Realtek drivers and attempting to install the generic verson from Realtek's website manages somehow to bring the stupid Beats Audio panel back. At this point, it feels like malware and I'm furious at it!

Hi! I've tested your suggestion today and it seems to be working. I hope it's the final solution to this headache.

Thank you!
