Hi,

1. Which system are You using?

2. Write down Your p/n which is under Your computer and looks like this.

Re: dv7 IDT HD Audio headphones/speaker problem

Hi,

Go to:

Control Panel -> Devices Manager -> Audio, Video and Games Controllers

Click with right button of Your mouse on Your IDT audio card there and choose properties. Then go to ' Details ' tab and paste here Hardware Ids . This way we will know what it is.

Below You've got example how to do it:

Re: dv7 IDT HD Audio headphones/speaker problem

Try something like this. Go to:

Control Panel -> Troubleshooting.

In lower part of this window check ' Get most up-to-date troubleshooters from the Windows Troubleshooting service '.

Now in ' Hardware and Sound ' section choose ' Troubleshoot audio playback '

In new windows click on ' Advanced ' and uncheck there ' Apply repairs automatically '. This way You will find out what kind of changes Windows will propose. Try this settings and check is Your problem solved.

Re: dv7 IDT HD Audio headphones/speaker problem

no, it doesnt help. but problem solved:

i have disabled dual headphones in control panel - hardware and sound - manage sound properties!

seems to work now like it should. i will see.
