My hp laptop's internal microphone was working fine on Thurs. I could skype with my friend and all was well. The only thing I can think of was I installed GIMP and now when I try to skype, I could hear them but they cannot hear me.
I know I should show disconnected devices, but the microphone doesn't show up. It doesn't exist! My recording device options (with show disconnected and disabled on) only shows: headset mic and stereo mix. No microphone image is anywhere....it's like it just disappeared and can't be found. Tried downloading updates, everything that's out there...there IS NO MICROPHONE option anywhere! BUT...I just had it last week!!! What should I do? Anyone ever have this problem? Thank you!
