internal speakers not working

I have a HP Pavilion dv9000z laptop. I just had my motherboard replaced, but now my internal speakers don't work. The headset jack works fine. What can I do?

Re: internal speakers not working

Hi

You have a couple of options as I see it.

Please First check if the speaker icon on the unit is not muted.

Go to device manager and uninstall the driver and restart and unit will install the driver automatically.

Click Start in search box type Recovery Manager then click on it then select I need immediate help the select Driver and application recovery then select the Audio driver install it and then restart the unit.

Try to update the driver from hp.com website for Audio & Bios

Let us know how it goes!

Re: internal speakers not working

I followed the steps, but the internal speaker still isn't working.
