Hi,
My envy 17 original primary hard disk is having smart check error (showing 301 after hd check up). So I,ve decided to replace it with a new hdd. Got myself new 500gb wd scorpio black.
I've backed up my files and created an hp recovery disk using USB drive. So I replaced the old hdd with the new one and booted up with the USB. Everything works fine so far, managed to go through the hp recovery manager process. Now this is where the problem start.
Ater the initial process ended, it asked to "continue" to restart the system and continue the process. I pressed continue and it restarted immediately, but it stucked at the first screen with the "hp" logo on it. I thought it was loading so left it overnight, but so far still stucked there. I've also done the all the available system diagnostic (hdd, start up, run in, etc) with the new hdd and there's no error.
I also tried the hard reset again and redo the system recovery, and still stucked at the hp logo. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
