Hello! Please help me, I've got a problem. I really hate Windows 8, so I want to install Windows 7. I see on the support of this laptop, drivers are ready for Win7. I've boot it and I dlete my Windows partition not recovery partition. I see that my HDD is in GPT partition style. Now I can't install Windows or go to Recovery Manager. Please help!

P.S. Sorry for my bad english.

Hi,

You should be able to install a 64bit version of Windows 7 on an HDD that has a GUID Partition Table as follows.

Shutdown the notebook.

Tap away at the esc key as soon as you press the power button to enter the Start-up Menu and then select the Bios Menu ( f10 ).

Under the System Configuration tab, expand the Boot Options Menu.

You need to set Secure Boot to Disabled and Legacy Devices to Enabled.

When done, press f10 and select to save the changes.

You may then have to enter a 4 digit pin displayed on the screen to confirm the setting changes - enter the code and hit enter.

Insert the Windows 7 installation disc and Shutdown the notebook.

Tap away at the esc key as soon as you press the power button to enter the Start-up Menu and then select the Boot Options Menu ( f9 ).

Use the arrow keys to highlight the CDROM (uefi) option and hit enter - if prompted to 'Press any key to continue....' - do so.

Regards,

Yeah, don't works... Sorry but it has a problem. Picture: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ggjmj4c7qp8v8vc/20150503_195006.jpg?dl=0 . If I translate: Windows detect that, your system partition EFI haveben formatet to NTFS. Format partition EFI to FAT32 and restart installer.

Please help.

Hi,

If the EFI partition has been formatted to NTFS, your best option is probably just to delete it.  To do this, start the Windows 7 installation again ( again, be sure to choose the 'boot device'(uefi) option )and when you get to the installation options screen, choose the Custom ( advanced ) option, select the EFI partition and then select delete - this should force the installation to re-create the partition with the correct file system.

Hi,

The EFI partition ( this will be small for example the one on my system is 100Mb ) and is not the same as the Recovery partition - do you know how it became formatted to NTFS?

What partitions do you see listed on the hard drive?
