Hi guys, hoping you can help me out with a Mini 110 (HP Mini 110-1110SA PC). There was an OS fault and a recovery was performed. This recovery failed and subsequent attempts also failed. The Mini 110 was then loaded with a Linux type OS to see if the HD was at fault - it loaded and works fine, however my niece wants a Windows OS on it as she is more comfortable using one.
This is where I step in! I attempted to recover with my copy of Windows XP (bootable) via an external USB DVD drive. It boots fine into the drive selection menu via F9 and I can select the external DVD drive. It will then begin to boot from the drive and open up a blue Windows install screen. It then proceeds to load the Windows setup files but then gives me a message that it cannot recognise any mass storage devices - I'm presuming this is because it is missing the Mass Storage Device driver?
I have the option to choose 'S' specify additional device / Enter - Continue /F3 - Quit
Can anyone point me in the right direction to load up the driver needed to see the HD so that I can proceed with a manual recovery via an external DVD drive?
Many thanks!
I am an HP employee.
Feel free to provide Kudos if I have helped you!
