My HP 311 hdd crashed so that it will not boot to Windows, but will boot from F11 to HP recovery console. Other partitions are recoverable when hdd connected to another (non-HP) computer, but system partition is seen as Unformatted RAW. I can not access it from other computer, nor from the recovery console.
How can I make the system partition and its contents visible so that data recovery can proceed? There is important data for which i have no backup because it was recently created, and it needs to be recovered.
HP Mini 311, Windows Home Starter, no physical recovery disks.

I suspect the hard drive is failing, I would replace the hard drive then order a HP recovery disc set to reinstall the OS.
You can order recovery media here or call HP on the phone to order.
