Ok, so i've installed win7 on my uncles laptop. worked fine.
There was a issue with the bios so i decided to update it. (it wouldn't boot untill i chose boot device by pressing F9)
Now it won't start up.
- No display.
- The lights light up, fans going, hard drive spinning.
- No Beeps.
- No blinks on the capslock or scroll lock lights.
I've tried disconnecting everyhting (including batteries, ram, hard disk) for 30mins and tried again. No change.
I also tried connecting an external monitor. No luck. (pressed fn+F4 in case screen was just off or something)
I think maybe the bios (video) is dead? ![]()
Anybody know a way i can revert to the old one.... or install another?

Search the web for HP Crisis Recovery, it may or may not work. if it don’t resolve your issue contact a 3rd party BIOS repair facility like: AQSTECH.com for a bios repair.
