Re: HP Pavilion g6-2320tx Notebook PC - Recovery

Hi ...

Thanks for the links. Let me receive the CDs and try to reinstate the software as you guide and only after that I can get the real picture. Only after trying myself I can get a real situation. I will let you know the progress.

Thanks, glad to find help from you ... :-)

Re: HP Pavilion g6-2320tx Notebook PC - Recovery

Hi,

You're welcome and let me know how it goes.

If it's any reassurance, over the years I've used Recovery Discs both on my own personal HP computers and for clients I've worked for and have never come across a case where using the 'Factory Reset' option has not re-created all the original partitions.

All the best,

DP-K

Re: HP Pavilion g6-2320tx Notebook PC - Recovery

Hi ...

I got those CDs (HP windows recovery media) and I reinstalled the software. It created all drives as good as new purchased Notebook, including Recovery Drive, which I was worried for.

Thanks a lot for guidance and support.

:smileyhappy:

Re: HP Pavilion g6-2320tx Notebook PC - Recovery

Hi Rajeev,

I bought a HP2320tx yesterday and faced the same issue.

I am really relived from your solution as i was also worried about the same.

I am also receiving the recovery disks from HP soon , a quick help needed from you .They said they will ship in two days from today.

Did you pay for the disks or the shipping and after their confirmation , in how many days did you get them.

Re: HP Pavilion g6-2320tx Notebook PC - Recovery

Hello Saleem_Knl,

You are looking for windows 7 drivers or your G6, is that correct? I will try to assist you.

Currently HP has not provided Windows 7 drivers for this particular equipment, now that might possibly change in the near future.

What you can do  is install the HP support assistant which will scan for drivers and software to be installed on your G6. Now some of the drivers might be very generic and don’t be surprised if some features do not work because the computer currently does not support windows 7.  When you open the link click on the blue link Notebooks to start the installation.

Please respond back at your earliest convenience.

Thanks
