HP Pavillion dv6000

My HP Pavillion dv6000 with Windows XP worked slowly but ok 'till I turned it on this morning. Most of the lights light up and the fan runs but the screen is black, the hard drive light does NOT blink and it keeps trying to restart over and over every few seconds on its own.. Ive taken the battery, hard drive and boards out and put them back in but no change. Is it "toast"?
