Product Name : HP Pavilion dv6-6009tx Entertainment Notebook PC
Operating System installed : Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium
hi, I bought my dv6 laptop from my polytechnic (Singapore), and it came with microsoft office 2010 pre-installed.. Because after a year of usage, the laptop has became a bit slow, so i was thinking of doing a system recovery with the recovery partition included in the laptop. I wish to ask if the preinstalled softwares (microsoft office 2010, visual studio 2010, visual studio 2008, etc) are included in the system recovery image?

It should but I dont know for sure, I would use a keyfinder to find all your office product keys and copy them somewhere safe, you may need them to get the office products activated after reinstall.
Did the notebook come with any Office dvd's?

it didn't come with any office dvds, the laptop is a school purchase, so I think the office are OEM and they didn't give the dvds.. it only comes with 2 recovery disks... but the recovery disks doesn't include office, that i am sure because my friend used the recovery disks but the preinstalled software aren't included.

I assume since it was pre-installed it will be included when you use the HP recovery media to reinstall windows.
It should have come with office dvd's if it was not included with recovery, not sure what to tell you unfortunately.
What is printed on both recovery discs?

Well It does not look like those discs will have the preinstalled software.
Look in your "swsetup" folder on the C: drive, sometimes pre-installed software installers are in there. I always back up that folder before I do a HP restore, there is always something in there I need after a re-install.

is there no way to contact hp support in singapore? because the helpdesk seems to be situated in India, and they have no idea what softwares are installed for laptops that are bought through schools.. and I can't seem to find a correct number which is local. i chose the country as Singapore, but the number I call is forwarded to India helpdesk...
EDIT:
in the "swsetup" folder, there are alot of programs, the drivers, etc that are preinstalled by HP, but there is no Microsoft Office 2010 and other softwares that is provided by the school included..
