Hi, I need help with something. I have a HP Pavilion g6-1b79dx Notebook, with Windows 7 64-bit. I bought it like 3 months ago. had some troubles with Internet Explorer and with some programs that weren´t working as they should, so I decide to reinstall Windows, so I put a Windows 7 64-bit installation disc and I format the drive where it was installed and then reinstall Windows, but now I can´t connect to the internet so I can´t download the drivers for everything that is in here, I don´t even know what is everything I should need a driver for. I try to download some drivers from HP.com but for example for LAN I download 4 drivers, for atheros, broadcom, realtek, etc... because I don´t know which one is in this notebook. I don´t know the hardware that is in this notebook, so I try with all, but still didn´t work. The laptop didn´t came with a CD or anything, so I try the option of download from a PC the HP Support Assistant, and then installed it on my notebook, but as I can´t connect to the internet, it´s useless. I download the AIDA64 because a friend told me that this program tell me which is the hardware I have in my laptop, but the only thing I get from this was that PCI/PnP Network is Realtek RTL8139/810x Fast Ethernet Adapter, and believe me, I´m completely lost. I regret when I remember I did this thinking it would be as easy as I do on a PC, where I have done this several times without a problem. Please help me and thank you very much in advance

Hi,
You said you used a Windows 7 installation DVD. So you didn't use the operating system your notebook was delivered with?
Why don't you just do an HP Recovery with the recovery media (USB thumbdrive or DVDs) that you created.
regards,
erico

Hi,
Please copy backup data ta and redo it again using HP Recovery Manager:
HP Recovery Manager can be accessd from the Start Menu,
- Tapping F11 key as soon as you power on the laptop.
- Recovery Disk set (you created before)
