Re: I got the Trojan virus on my G56 Notebook PC, tried AVG to remove it hasn't worked!!!

 Hi,

Try the following.

On another PC, follow the procedure on the link below to create a bootable CD which you can use to scan your computer and hopefully remove the Malware.  This utility scans the Hard Drive outside of Windows and so has a better chance of removing the Malware.

Windows Defender Offline.

When this has completed, boot into Windows, then download and install the free versions of MBAM and SUPERAntiSpyware on the links below.

MBAM

SUPERAntiSpyware

When installed, run full scans with both these utilities - if any malware is detected, remove/quarantine it and run the scan again until both applications come back clean.

Re: I got the Trojan virus on my GAG Notebook PC, tried AVGAS to remove it hasn't worked!!!

Thanks,

I ended up cleaning off over 800 viruses, malware, & threats off the GAG Notebook PC... BUT I am getting a warning from Windows Defender Alert:  Trojan: Win32/Sirefef.AN has been detected.   Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, also, gives a pop-up cloud stating:  SVCHOST.EXE; type: OUTGOING; Malware successfully blocked access to a potentially malicious website:  89.28.87.93.  Can you please advise or recommend what should be my next course of action???

Re: I got the Trojan virus on my GAG Notebook PC, tried AVGAS to remove it hasn't worked!!!

Welcome Natty.

Please take a look at this site.

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix#uninstall

The link to download then run COMBOFIX is there.

You can get one or more of the online rep's to help you on there forum if needed..

They are the best for a virus removal.

Hope this helps.

Re: I got the Trojan virus on my GAG Notebook PC, tried AVGAS to remove it hasn't worked!!!

Hi,

Thats a lot of Malware!

Considering the extent, I would personally consider wiping the HDD and reinstalling Windows - you may be able to remove the remaining Malware by running the offline scanner again or by posting this issue on a site specialising in malware removal, but it's almost impossible to know what damage has been done to the operating system.
