Net work drivers

Could you please email me the link to were I can download the  network drivers and instructions on how to load them from a flash drive for the Hp Pavilion dv6-6c10us Laptop computer which I bought on May 1, 2012 or how I can restore it to its factory specs using the f11 function.  Because I had a problem loading some software I tried to restore it to its factory specs by using the f11 key however the restore operation never stared.  I then tried to load my copy of windows 7 home premium 64 bit .  However it get a error message when I try to connect to the web saying that windows cannot find the either net drivers.

Thank you

Re: Net work drivers

Hi, Jeffrey:

There could be one of several wireless adapters installed in your notebook, so we need to find out what model you have.

Please go to the device manager, and you should see a device labeled Network Controller with a little yellow ! mark next to it.

When you find that, click on the Details tab. On that tab there is a drop down list labeled Properties.  Drop down on that list and select the second item (Hardware ID's).

Post the top string of characters you see in the window.

Those will ID the model of the wireless card you have and I can send you the link to the drivers for it.

If you have any other missing devices with ! marks, post the strings for those too. We may as well get all of the hardware installed.

Re: Net work drivers

I hate to tag on to an old post, but I have this 2 of this exact same laptop.  I am reinstalling Win7 on both for use on our corporate network.  I have the same problem on the first one I reinstalled.  Hoping you can assist.

"Network Controller" Hardware ID = PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_472&SUBSYS_1795103C&REV_01

I have another device with a yellow ! called "BCM20702A0"  Hardware ID = USB\VID_0A5C&PID_21E3&REV_0112

And an unknown device with HardwareID = ACPI\HPQ0004

Any help you can provide is GREATLY appreciated.

Jason

Hi, Jason:

No problem...these drivers should fix you right up...the first two drivers are not on the model's support and driver page, which is why you are having difficulty.
