Never received recovery disk, bought from QVC.

I bought my HP Pavilion G7-1083nr from QVC and it didn't come with recovery disk. I have about 2-3 months on my warrenty and need a recovery disk for the OS I had which was WIN 7 64 bit. What do I do?

Hi,

Recovery discs are not sent with the system. They had to be created when you first got the system because the recovery partition is already there in the notebook. If the notebok is not booting up then there are two ways to recovery the system:

- You can try running the recovery using F11 as soon as the system is turned on.You can referthis link for the steps..

If this doesnt work then you can order the Recovery disks online or call HP technical Support to get them..

If you are unable to get recovery discs from the hp site then you can try the following third party site to get recovery discs.

Almost no modern computer comes with a set of pre-made recovery discs or an OS disc. Please read though this HP webpage on Using the HP Recovery Manager in Windows 7. Specific instructions are given for almost every situation you may encounter. You will want to either create you own set of HP Recovery Discs (better option) or order a set from HP.  More information about ordering a HP Recovery Disc set can be found on the software and driver page for your computer.
