Either/or.

 

The key works on both 32 or 64 bit.

 

As long as you install the same version as is on the COA sticker (ie, Home Premium).

Yeah I figured.  At first, I was like, "Cool!!!! i can install ultimate"  then I was like, no...wait...

Nope.

 

The key will only activate the version of W7 that came with your PC.

 

But at least you will have a W7 installation disk and you can keep W7 on there as long as you want without having to worry about the license expiring.

 

If you like Windows 8, I read that supposedly we can upgrade to W8 Pro for only $39.99 when it comes out--possibly in October.

OMG!!! Thanks for all of the information. I have installed windows 7 again and I never knew that it could be done that way!!! Thanks so much you have solved a problem that I have been searching for the answer for for months!
