Hi, I have an HP G70-111EM laptop with Windows Vista and I'm experiencing major problems with random crashes, the most common of which is 'PFN_LIST_CORRUPT' but there are some other causes of crashing which I cannot remember because a blue screen appears for about 10 seconds and temporary memory is dumped. Being pretty poor with technology I was hoping somebody might tell me what I can do to make my laptop completely clean and run like when I first bought it about 3 years ago. I hear all talk of uninstalling faulty drivers and I just simply don't know what is causing the problems. Thank you so much if you can help me.

this can also be a hardware issue, so first turn the notebook on & keep tapping F2, once on system diagnostic screen clcick on startup test, if any test fails then its your hardware issue, if everything passes then run system recovery from recovery manager

Slightly confused still, cos I've done the hardware check and it's fine, but the I looked in recovery manager and there's a list of about 20 programs that it offers to reinstall, such as Adobe Shockwave Player 8 and some stuff I presumably uninstalled. What is the purpose of this!?!?!?!?!??!??!
Thankyou for responding
