I tried to reinstall my HP Pavillion dv5-1115eo pc running Vista 32 bit, at first from the recovery disks i created when i purchased the pc, and subsequently from the recovery partition.
In both cases the recovery runs fine until windows is installed and reinstallation of HP software starts.
"Windows is now setting up the following items..."
Pre-PININST completes OK (Gets a checkmark)
but then the pc shuts down and doesn't restart.
When I restart the machine a message says
"Windows could not complete the installation. To install Windows on this computer, restart the installation. [OK]"
I guess the problem is that the wireless network is disabled (indicator LED is orange, think it should be blue, but there is no way i can change it.

-but as the button is "soft touch" it seems to be controlled by software which isn't there...
