Re: Power on Password

I'm having a similar problem.  After being unable to start my notebook after multiple attemps, it started and i used system repair to try and fix the problem.  Now, when the system boots up, it asks for a password.  I had not set a password in the past and now cant get past this.

I have many valuable files on the pc, including in the internal backup drive.  I'm assuming that i will need to take my data drives out, copy the data to an external drive, then reset the system to factory settings to get back into this, which will be a real pain.  Any other ideas??

Re: Power on Password

Hello,

The only way of bypassing the system password is a recovery, this can be done by pressing F11 repeatedly as soon as the system powers up, then clicking system recovery. This will restore your machine back to factory settings and giving you the option to set a password or not.

Please also be aware that all data must be backed up as the unit will lose all data.

Thanks
