Program freezes when creating Recovery DVDs

I have a recently purchased HP Envy 4-1043cl Ultrabook with Windows 7 64-bit. It's working pretty well for me, but I've had a problem creating the system recovery DVDs. I purchased a USB external DVD burner, and am trying to burn the recovery DVDs. It's worked well up until disk 4 of 5. Here, it freezes during the verify step at exactly 86% completion. It's done this on three consecutive blank DVDs. I've rebooted between tries, and have even left the drive off for an hour in case it was overheating, but the program just gets to 86% complete and then just sits there for a long time. Then I get a "Disk verify failed. Please use another disc and try again."

Does anyone know what's going on or have any suggestions? Is there a Tech Support number I can call? (I know I can purchase the DVDs from HP, but I'd like to get this process to work and save my money.)

Thank you.

Re: Program freezes when creating Recovery DVDs

Note that only DVD-R and DVD+R discs are compatible with the Recovery Disc Creation program. The following disc types are not compatible with the Recovery Disc Creation program: CDs, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-R, DLDVD+R, DLDVD-RW DL, DVD+RW DL.

If you used the right discs, you can contact the HP Tech Support(Phone/Chat/Email) from the below link and request them to ship you a set of Recovery Discs for free.
